Cleaning Your Handmade Ceramic Pipes

Proper cleaning is essential to ensure the purity of your smoking experience. Follow these steps to keep your ceramic pipes in top condition:

  • Regular Cleaning : After each use, gently tap out the ash and residue from your ceramic hand pipe, and empty water from your water pipe when not in use, avoiding any seepage, and ensuring that each use starts with fresh water!

  • Deep Cleaning : What you'll need to clean an Ancient Creations Ceramics Hand Pipe or Water Pipe:  Rubbing alcohol (also called Isopropyl alcohol, 91% is best) - found in your local drugstore, cotton swabs, coarse salt, and pipe cleaners.

  • How to clean a Hand Pipe, Bat, or Smoke-stone:  Pop the screen out, and set the pipe, and the screen, in a bowl, or a ziploc bag, with enough alcohol to cover/soak, and let soak for at least 15 minutes! You can then use a pipe cleaner/cotton swabs to gently clean/wipe out, the inside of the pipe/bowl. Rinse with warm water and air dry before use.

  • How to clean a Water Pipe/Hookah:  Remove bowl, if it has a removable bowl, and set it in a bowl or ziplock bag with enough alcohol to cover, and let soak. Over a sink, cover bowl hole/carb of Water Pipe with fingers, then pour rubbing alcohol to fill, and 1 teaspoon salt into mouth piece. Cover mouth piece with palm and shake for a few moments, let it sit for about 15 min, and then empty. Repeat until resin is removed! You can then use a pipe cleaner/cotton swabs to gently clean/wipe out, the inside of the bowl/downtube. Rinse with warm water and air dry before use.

  • Avoid Harsh Cleaners : Steer clear of strong chemicals or abrasive cleaners that can damage the finish of your ceramic pipe.

Storing Your Ceramic Pipes

To protect your cherished pieces when they're not in use, consider the following storage tips:

  • Dry Storage : Ensure your ceramic pipes are completely empty of water before storing them to prevent mold growth.

  • Safe Placement : Store your pipes in a secure location where they won't be accidentally knocked over or damaged.

Handling with Care

While ceramic pipes are durable, they can still chip or break if mishandled. Follow these guidelines to handle your pipes with care:

  • Avoid Dropping : Always handle your ceramic pipes with care to prevent accidental drops or chips.

  • Protective Cases : Consider investing in protective cases or pouches for your pipes when traveling.
